Aamer Mahmood
Shared Research Facilities Director, White Hall 405
Dr. Aamer Mahmood is the Director of the Shared Research Facilities (SRF). He assumed this position in April 2021 – joining from Microsoft Station Q Purdue. Working with the WVU Research Office and researchers from various entities and departments in the University, he is responsible for strategic planning and operations of the SRF as well as managing the technical staff.

Dr. Bo Xue received his B.S. degree in Electronics (2001), M.S. degree in Education (2004), and Ph.D degree in Chemistry (2007) from Northeast Normal University (Changchun, China). He served as assistant professor in Jinan University (Guangzhou, China) from 2007 to 2016.

Marcela Redigolo
Electron Microscopy Facilities Manager, ESB G58
Dr. Marcela Redigolo leads the WVU Electron Microscopy Core (EMF). Her expertise is critical for structural analyses of different materials including bulk and biological samples. Standard or custom sample preparation can be performed on site. Dr. Redigolo is available to assist researchers with trainings as well as sample analyses. A professional with a strong background in physics and chemistry, she has more than 20 years of hands-on experience in electron microscopy, studying both physical and biological samples.

Qiang Wang
Materials Characterization Facilities Manager, ESB G58 and WH 211
Dr. Qiang Wang received his Bachelor’s degree in Physics from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2003, his M.S. and Ph. D. degrees in Physics from University of Colorado Boulder in 2008 and 2011.

Trieu Nguyen
Manager Microfabrication Cleanrooms, ESB G60, WH 409
Dr. Trieu Nguyen completed his PhD in microfluidic energy conversion at the University of Twente, Netherlands in 2015. He then conducted postdoctoral research at Michigan State University and continued his research at Denmark Technical University through 2021. He assumed the role of Assistant Professor (Research) at California NorthState University from 2021 to 2022. Later in 2022, he took on responsibilities as the Cleanroom Manager at Honda Research Institute US in San Jose.
