Callee Walsh earned her Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology from WVU in 2009. Her dissertation focused on the effects of nutrients on the activity of SR proteins. She received her M.S. in Animal Science in 2004 from Cornell University wehre she studied the effects of Omega-3 fatty acids on milk fat synthesis and composition in dairy cows. Her work experience includes a year as a postdoc in the WVU Department of Chemistry followed by a one-year postdoc assignment with Protea Biosciences and an additional five years with the company in increasingly responsible positions focusing on mass spec imaging using laser ablation electrospray ionization.
