Aamer Mahmood

Shared Research Facilities Director, White Hall 405

Dr. Aamer Mahmood is the Director of the Shared Research Facilities (SRF). He assumed this position in April 2021 – joining from Microsoft Station Q Purdue. Working with the WVU Research Office and researchers from various entities and departments in the University, he is responsible for strategic planning and operations of the SRF as well as managing the technical staff.

Dr. Mahmood has a BS, an MS and a PhD in electrical engineering. His professional experience spans microsystems design and development, semiconductor processing/nanofabrication and associated metrology as well as commissioning and operation of inter-disciplinary research facilities.
