Qi Zeng and Qiang Wang join SRF

Qi Zeng, Ph.D. has been appointed as the Manager of the SRF BioNano Research Facilities. Dr. Zeng received her bachelor's degree in chemistry in 2009 from Renmin University of China and her Ph.D. in analytical chemistry in 2015 from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Her research involved the development of a nanoHPLC-MS analysis method for fruit fly hemolyph using bottom-up proteomics. In addition to her academic experience, Dr. Zeng has also worked in the private sector as a research scientist developing reverse osmosis membranes for the polymer industry. Her research interests focus on HPLC, GC, and MS method development for raw, intermediate, and final product quality control.

Qiang Wang was appointed Manager of the SRF Materials Characterization Facilities and Research Assistant Professor of Physics. Dr. Wang received his bachelor's degree in physics from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2003 and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2008 and 2011. He held a postdoctoral research appointments at the Los Alamos National Laboratory Neutron Science Center from 2012 to 2015 and at the Argonne National Laboratory Materials Science Division from 2015 to 2016. Dr. Wang's research interests include interface magnetism in heterostructures, probed using polarized neutron reflectometry, and the electron structure of exotic matter, probed using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy.
