04/26/12 - Dr. Marcela Redigolo will be attending the 3rd Topical Conference on EBSD (Electron Back-Scatter Diffraction), which will be held on June 19-21, 2012 at Carnegie Mellon University.
04/26/12 - Dr. Marcela Redigolo will be participating in the 2nd USA Science & Engineering Festival, which will be held in Washington DC on April 28th and 29th.
04/13/12 - Dr. Marcela Redigolo will be attending the 2012 STaR Symposium, which will be held in Charleston, WV from April 19th till 21st.
03/19/12 - Updating contact information: Dr. Marcela Redigolo's new office is in the Engineering Sciences Building (ESB), room G75D. Her new office number is already updated in WVU Shared Research Facilities webpage. Her cell phone number continues the same.
Equipment Updates
05/10/12 - JEOL rescheduled the SEM preventative maintenace this year for May 29th (right after Memorial Day) till June 1st. During that week the microscope will not be available for users. Please, plan your experiments accordingly. Thanks.
04/26/12 - JEOL visited the TEM lab yesterday to perform some adjustments to the microscope vacuum settings. The settings were slight higher than they should be, not allowing the system to turn ON the filament. The problem happened Tuesday afternoon and, by Wednesday morning, the TEM was back in operation. The microscope is available for users.

03/30/12 - JEOL completed alignments on the TEM. The microscope can now operate in two voltages: 120 KV, that will improve measures in beam-sensitive samples, and the usual 200 KV. The lower voltage will benefit many users studying biological samples.
